Index Health

Index Health starts with four tiles: Need rebuild (30% or more fragmented), Need reorganize (10–29%), Missing indexes (with an impact score) and Unused indexes (wasting write overhead). Three tabs — Fragmented, Missing and Unused — list the details, and you can sort by any column header or search by table, index or database.

What you see on this screen

  Fragmentation with a recommended actionEach row shows database, table, index, fragmentation %, pages, index type and a suggested action such as REBUILD.

  Missing and unused indexesThe Missing tab ranks suggestions by impact score; the Unused tab finds indexes that only add write cost.
